Pain Free Dentistry for Relief of Dental Pain

Parramatta Dental Studio offers a comprehensive approach to relief of dental pain
There are several dental problems that can give you tooth, mouth and jaw pain.

Bleeding Or Swollen Gums:  Plaque such as food can irritate the gums and cause inflammation. This can lead to gum disease and cause pain, bleeding and swelling. In severe or chronic cases this can cause loosening of the teeth.

Broken Teeth Or Fillings Leaky Fillings: Broken teeth or fillings can cause sensitivity to sweet, hot or cold foods and if left untreated will worsen over time and require further dental treatment.

Root Canal  Therapy / Endodontic Treatment: Teeth that have experienced some form of trauma such as extensive decay, large fillings or an injury may require root canal therapy due to inflamed nerve tissues. You may experience constant or sporadic pain to hot or cold things, nocturnal pain and soreness when biting or chewing. It is important to address this as a tooth can be saved with root canal treatment but if left untreated can lead to further swelling and infection and in some cases the tooth will need to be extracted.

Extractions: Loose or badly broken-down teeth can be sore to bite on and when combined with food impaction can lead to gum swellings and should be addressed as soon as practicable to prevent further infection.

Wisdom Teeth: The position of the wisdom teeth can make them hard to clean. This can cause the gums behind our impacted wisdom teeth to become swollen and painful or dental decay can develop and lead to pain.

Teeth Grinding Or Clenching / Bruxism: Habits such as these can cause aches and pains in our teeth, jaws and muscles.

Some of these issues may be easily resolved with simple pain relief dentistry. Our dentists are adept at diagnosing the source of your pain. Please call to arrange a consultation!

Bleeding And Swollen Gums:

When it comes to dental hygiene, we often focus just on the teeth. But the gums and bone sitting beneath the teeth are the support structures of our teeth and it is important to maintain the health of these tissues. For that reason, you should keep an eye out for any bleeding, irritation, swelling, or pain in the gum area. If you have concerns about your gums please do not hesitate to contact us and we will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.

Replacement Of Fillings

If you have a toothache of any kind, broken or leaky filling and sensitivity to sweet or cold things please come in for a dentist to have a look. It might well be that pain relief dentistry for you simply means that you’ve got a filling that has fallen out and needs replacement. Get it done early for the easiest treatment and to avoid any unnecessary further pain or infections.

Wisdom Teeth Removal / Surgical Extractions:

Pain in the wisdom teeth area can be the most frightening, because immediately you’ll be thinking of removal. It’s not always the case, but if you do need to have the wisdom teeth taken out, it’s better to do it sooner rather than later. We assess the severity of the wisdom tooth impaction by using a digital OPG x-ray and we provide you with an unbiased opinion on whether the wisdom tooth or teeth should be removed or not. In some cases, wisdom tooth removal can be performed routinely on the dental chair or can be arranged to be removed under general anesthesia in a day surgery clinic.

Note: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks and potential complications. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Dental Root Canal Therapy  Endodontic Treatment:

Dental root canal therapy or endodontic treatment can be used to relieve pain due to inflammation and infection of the nerve tissues or for hypersensitive teeth. It is a relatively non-invasive treatment. In most cases the pain or discomfort can be relieved in 12 – 24 hours post-operatively and the case completed in two or three appointments depending on the individual tooth condition.

So, if you are feeling tooth or gum pain, book an appointment with Parradental immediately. We are regarded as offering the best pain free dentistry Parramatta locals have come to rely on.
